Daddy Mode

Switch on yourdaddy mode.

Be the dadthey rememberbeing there.

You don't need to be perfect. You just need to be present. Daddy Mode helps you put the phone down and show up for the moments your kids will actually keep.

Then life gets loud

You want to be there. Life keeps getting in the way.

Work runs late. Screens fill every quiet minute. Nobody plans it this way, but the slow, sit down together time is usually the first thing to go.

What we learned

Ten fully present minutes beat two distracted hours.

Most dads think the answer is more time. It isn't. Kids don't need more stuff or more hours from their dads. They need the hours you already have, with Dad all the way there. Presence is a skill, and like any skill, it gets easier with a few simple moves.

The Daddy Mode way

Four moves. That's it.

Presence

Phone down. Eyes up. That's the whole trick.

Trust

Keep showing up, even when it's short. Kids trust the dad who's consistent.

Vulnerability

Say "I don't know" out loud. It teaches them it's safe not to know either.

Dialogue

Ask the weird questions. Listen to the weirder answers.

The easiest place to practice all four? A shared story.

What changes when you show up

  • Instead of rushing bedtime, you start looking forward to it.
  • Instead of one word answers, you get conversations that go somewhere real.
  • Instead of guessing what they like, you know.
  • Instead of wondering if you're doing enough, you know you showed up.

Introducing

The Daddy Mode Book Fair

Once a month, the fair rolls into a library near you. A Daddy Mode host leads a live read-along. You and your kids follow along, side by side. Every family leaves with a goodie bag and a book to keep reading at home.

No price tags. No wallets. Just one free morning, all the way there.

Why we started this

We're dads too.

I started Daddy Mode because I know how easy it is to be in the room and still miss the moment. What's helped me is intentionality. I get clear on what I want for my family, I set aside time that belongs to them, and I honor it, even when it's short.

You don't need another thing to buy, and your kids don't need another toy. They need you, sitting next to them, all the way there. So start with one morning and one story. We'll handle the rest.
